Nestled in Idaho’s Treasure Valley, Wooded River was born from the rugged beauty of the Boise River, with “Boise” meaning “wooded.” That landscape has shaped our patterns, textures, and colors for more than two decades. But what truly defines us isn’t just the scenery. It’s the people who gather around the sewing tables, cutting rooms, and design boards every day, many of whom have been with us for 20 years or more.
Wooded River started in 1998 as a small clothing company, stitching garments by hand. Over time, those same hands expanded into blankets, pillows, and eventually full bedding collections. When Brandon and Jill Andersen purchased Wooded River in 2011, the heart of the company didn’t change. It simply grew. Today, Wooded River proudly stands alongside our sister company, Fireside Lodge Furniture, reaching retailers, designers, and hospitality partners across the country.
Through it all, the soul of Wooded River remains simple. We’re a family who makes things carefully, intentionally, and just for you.

That sense of belonging is woven into everything we make. Nothing here is mass-produced. Every blanket, pillow, and bedding set is made to order, customized when needed, and crafted by skilled hands that take pride in every stitch.
With more than 350 fabrics at their fingertips, our artisans create looks that range from lodge and western to coastal, transitional, and southwestern. We produce using Customer Own Material (COM), short lead times, and the flexibility to bring a customer’s vision to life, whether it’s a single throw for a mountain cabin or a full-scale hospitality project for a national park resort.
As we look ahead, our commitment remains unchanged. We’ll keep innovating with new designs, staying rooted in American-made quality, and creating bedding that brings our family, craft, and Idaho heritage into your home.

According to the Natural Resources Defense Council, textiles account for more than 20% of the world’s water pollution. The EPA tells us more than 8 million tons of textiles go to landfills annually. Wooded River doesn’t want to add to those numbers!
That’s why we choose suppliers and mills that follow environmentally sound practices and have made it our goal to increase our recycled and upcycled product offerings every year – and to date, almost two-thirds of our bed ensembles are made from up to 90% recycled fibers
Wooded River started as a clothing company back in 1998. Soon, it’s offerings expanded to include hand-sewn blankets, pillows, and soon after, handmade bedding. In 2011, Brandon and Jill Andersen finding success with handmade furniture in Fireside Lodge Furniture, brought Wooded River into the fold. Soon after, they increased its footprint to incorporate a national presence. With handmade furniture from Fireside Lodge and Wooded River’s bedding going hand-in-hand, Wooded continued to grow and expand. Today, our products can be found in hundreds of stores and thousands of homes and hotels worldwide.
